Shipping & Returns

Please make note that there are NO VERBAL PROMISES made by ANY representatvies of Instrument Nation with regard to product shipping dates or shipping times for product en route. Instrument Nation is not responsible for any monetary losses due to a product's ship date or shipping time.

Most items are normally shipped the same business day on orders placed before 2PM CST, paid with credit card without complication and except Mondays.

Exceptions to this policy are expensive consumer items, items that are specifically designated as "Normally shipped in 1-3 business days" in the item descriptions and drop shipped items.

Payment complications include:

  • Different shipping and billing addresses, billing information inconsistent with what's on the credit card record, and orders that can't be verified by phone.
  • Orders placed during non-business hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays are normally processed and shipped on the next business day except Mondays.
  • Next Day, 2nd Day & 3rd Day shipping orders cannot be processed to California, Florida or Maryland unless the product is currently in our inventory. If your shipping time is critical, we suggest you call to check current inventory prior to ordering.
  • Next Day, 2nd Day, & 3rd Day shipping orders must be submitted before 10AM CST, otherwise add one day for order processing.
  • Next Day, 2nd Day & 3rd Day shipping orders placed on Friday after 2pm CST will be considered an order placed on Monday of the following week.
  • Shipments will only be delivered to the continental USA, incl. AK & HI, and Canada.

Our customers are responsible for any "extra" charges incurred by the shipper to reach the receiver. This includes international / border processing fees.

You may return most unused items in the original packaging and in 100% resaleable condition purchased from Instrument Nation within 30 days of the original delivery. Instrument Nation will pay for return shipping if the product is defective or the return is a result of our error. If the item is returned for any other reason, you are responsible for the return shipping. No returned merchandise will be accepted without a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Please contact our Returns Dept. at (877) 759-6840 (extension #2) to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization. A twenty five percent (25%) restocking fee will be issued on all authorized returned merchandise. This is non-negotiable.

All products and merchandise which are "built to order" or "made to order" are non-refundable and non-returnable as specified by the manufacturer's policy. This is non-negotiable.

Fall protection equipment/PPE is closely monitored by OSHA, CSA and several other government safety organizations. Once fall protection equipment/PPE is ordered from Instrument Nation, it is considered "used" and cannot be resold as "new" goods. Much of our fall protection/PPE equipment is also "made to order" and will not be accepted back by the respective manufacturer.

Made to order items have a 7-14 day build time. Build time is not a reflection of lead time as there is still shipping time from the manufacturer to either the customer or Instrument Nation. As a result, fall protection equipment/PPE may only be exchanged for the same exact product if it acquired damage during shipping/transport or has a manufacturer defect. All fall protection orders are non-refundable, non-returnable and non-cancellable. This is non-negotiable, all sales are final on any fall protection or safety related items.

All freight is the responsibility of the buyer. In the event an item has a free freight designation the buyer is responsible for any and all return freight to Instrument Nation. In the event an order is cancelled while in transit, the buyer is still responsible for any freight charges accrued by Instrument Nation. In the event that an order with the free freight designation is returned, the buyer will be responsible for the original freight accrued by Instrument Nation.

If you order a product from Instrument Nation "by mistake" or of the "wrong part number", that product is subject to a twenty five percent (25%) restocking fee. You are also responsible for return freight. This is non-negotiable. 

The following items may not be returned or cancelled:

  • Any used or damaged merchandise
  • Infrared thermal imaging equipment
  • Generac Generators & Equipment
  • Blower Door/Duct Blower equipment
  • Any and all software sales are final, no exceptions
  • Any fall protection or safety related items
